Some passengers who did not match the standards claimed they were denied boarding their flights, while others reported being stranded at airports.
Before flying to Dubai, visitors with visit visas should have Dh3,000 cash, a valid return ticket, and proof of accommodation, according to travel organizations.

Experts say authorities are enforcing strict entry requirements. Some passengers who did not match the qualifications reported being detained at Indian airports and denied boarding their flights. Others reported being stranded at Dubai's airports.
People travelling to Dubai must have a valid visa and a passport with validity.

Travelers to Dubai are required to have a passport that is valid for at least six months and a valid visa. A confirmed return ticket is required. The CEO and creator of Tahira Tours and Travels, Firoz Maliyakkal, stated, "These are checks that are being done earlier."
These days, though, checks are made to make sure you have enough cash on you as identification to cover your expenses throughout your visit to Dubai. Any currency that is equal to Dh3,000 in either cash or credit card is the amount. In the UAE, one must present a legitimate proof of address; this can be a hotel reservation or a relative's or friend's house, Firoz continued.

Although this regulation has been in place for a while, according to travel brokers, authorities have recently increased monitoring for the safety of travelers.
"To protect visitors arriving in Dubai, airport screenings are being carried out. Overstaying has occurred on numerous occasions. The emirate's tourism industry will benefit from this action taken by the government, according to Libin Varghese of Rooh Travel & Tourism.
"Strict controls guarantee openness and avoid any inconsistencies for visitors to the United Arab Emirates," he continued.

"Stuck at the airport"
After taking a Spice Jet flight from Cochin International Airport in the south Indian state of Kerala, Abin S landed in Dubai on May 15. He was requested to present the documentation needed to enter Dubai upon his arrival.
"I was required to present an amount equal to Dh3,000, which I had with me, upon my arrival at 2.30am. I have a ticket back as well. However, the most important thing was documentation of my lodging in Dubai, stated Abin.

"When I said that my cousin would be hosting me, the authorities asked to see his Emirates ID and documentation of lodging. Nevertheless, my cousin does not have housing under his name; instead, he is renting a room in Dubai," Abin continued.

Abin claimed that although this was not his first visit to Dubai, he had never come into a situation like this.

"Neither my relative nor the travel agent in India told me anything about this. I had to spend four days in the airport waiting area before taking the same airline back to my hometown on May 19, according to Abin

Refused to board
On May 20, Indian traveler Abhishek arrived at Cochin International Airport to catch his aircraft to Dubai, but he was denied entry. His goal was to travel to Dubai to see his brother-in-law Bijesh.
"According to the airport staff, individuals who do not have a valid hotel reservation for the entire duration of their visit visa or Dh5000 in cash in dirhams will not be permitted to enter the country," stated Bijesh. "They said he had to present the cash in dirhams, but he had Rs50,000."
According to Bijesh, he and his friends hurriedly came up with other plans. He stated, "Abhishek was meant to stay with his uncle in Dubai."

"We sent all the information about the uncle right away, including his Emirates ID and proof of stay, but the Cochin airport officials insisted that they would not allow him to board the plane until he produced the required paperwork," Bijesh stated.
Abhishek lost the money he paid for his booked Spice Jet flight since he was unable to board it. Bijesh stated, "We went to the Spice Jet office in Dubai and asked them for a refund." Bijesh continued, "But they said there was nothing they could do because the rules were being strictly enforced and it was the passenger's responsibility to check it."

In order to take a flight to Dubai, Abhishek is currently waiting to arrange finances and purchase new tickets.
